Resources in Times of Crisis
The University recently launched a comprehensive website Resources in Times of Crisis because Harvard is committed to supporting our community members affected by crises at home and abroad. It includes resources and tools for supporting:
- Personal Safety including the Anonymous Reporting Hotline and anti-bullying concerns
- Online Safety including protecting from online abuse or harassment
- Mental Health & Wellbeing including the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion
- Broader Community Support including equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as the University’s Ombuds Office
Additional Employee Resources
- Harvard’s Employee Assistance Program offers free, confidential help for all Harvard employees and their adult household members, including 24/7 support from a licensed KGA counselor experienced in crisis intervention for any emotional issue. Call 877-EAP-HARV (877-327-4278).
- Many of our employees engage regularly with students. If you’re asked by a student about how they should deal with electronic harassment, threats, or even doxing, encourage that person to reach out to HUPD or their school’s office for student affairs.
If You See Something…Say Something
HUPD works to maintain a safe and secure environment, but they need help from the community. You are in a better position to identify behavior and activities that are out of the ordinary. If you identify suspicious behavior call the HUPD at 617-495-1212 immediately. See Something, Say Something.
